Cherry Happiness

I love this picture by Rodney White. Love the vintage feel and love the message! I created this cute little hanging by printing out the Rodney White image on cardstock and matting it with some layers of patterned paper and a chipboard base. I added to the vintage-y feel with some old buttons and twine and then brought in a pop of black with the ribbon.

Although not a lot of creativity here, I love how it turned out. This would be a really cute pick me upper to gift a friend :0)

Happy Tuesday!!

Happy New Years Cards

Goodbye 2010 New Year's Card
Shop 100s of holiday cards at Shutterfly.
View the entire collection of cards.

December got the better of me and I wasn't able to get Christmas cards into the mail. So instead this year I am going to send Happy New Year cards.

I chose this picture of the 3 boys because it pretty much sums up where much of our time was spent this year. It was the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouts in the U.S. and we were very involved!

Aaron was very busy with scouts and was even able to attend the National Jamboree! He spent over 30 nights camping this summer!Nolan earned his Arrow of Light in February and crossed over into Boy Scouts. He enjoyed his first week long camp - away from home - without his parents!! And Trey finally gets to participate in all the fun things his big brothers have been doing. He started Cub scouts in September and is just the cutest little Tiger you ever did see! Mark and I are den leaders to him and 6 of his friends who are on their way down the Scouting trail!

We couldn't be more proud of all three and are thankful every day!

Paper Makeup Stamps Review -Fiora

Time for a review of some of the stamps that were released on Friday by Paper Makeup stamps. This new critter cutie is called Fiora the Ferret. I think she looks more like a squirrel the way I colored her, but she needed to coordinate with the rest of the card :0) !!

I, once again, used paper and cardstock from this months kit for both the inside and outside of the card. Love them!! They all coordinate so well together and as you can tell, I'm totally loving all of the sentiments and images preprinted on the papers. The head pins and beads are totally fun too!

If you haven't completed the hop you still have time to collect your secret code along the way to redeem for 15% off the new release stamps. Check out the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog for more stamps in review.

Happy Monday!

Paper Makeup Stamps January Blog Hop

Happy New Year, Happy Blog Hop! If your coming from Dawns blog your in the right spot, if not go back to the PMS blog and start there!

I made a resolution to simplify this year. In all aspects of life. Too much clutter in my life right now ;0) So, in keeping with that motto, I made a simple card for the hop to showcase one of the two Moody's that are being released this month. This is Moody for France.

I actually like the way it turned out!! The entire card was made using items you can find in this months kit "Mon Cheri". I stamped Moody girl and the sentiment, Je taime, on a patterned piece of paper that came in the kit. I lightly colored Moody girls hat pink to tie in with the other pink writing on the paper. A pink bow and a strip from another piece of paper and that was it! I added some other pieces of patterned paper on the inside and this card was done!!

I know your eager to see what else the design team has created for you so I will quickly remind you to stop in at the release party for some fun and games. And don't foget to collect your letters to reveal your secret code that will save you 15%off the new release.

Your letter from me is "I"

Thanks for hopping, now off you go to one of our newer DT members with some amazing talent - Jami.

January Kit - Pretty in Pink

Time for another Paper Makeup Stamps sneak peek! This card uses gorgeous papers and ebellies from this months kit. The papers all have a vintage romantic feel to them and include printed quotes and images like the butterfly one used on my card. I l0ve the stick pins and pearls!! I've seen them used soo many times but have never tied them myself. These kits are a great way to get a little bit of a lot of good things. Things I normally wouldn't purchase on their own!! Included with the kit is a fairy stamp set that includes 4 French sentiments - perfect for that romantic feel.

There are soo many possibilities with this kit. For more ideas, check out what the other design team members have done with it at the PMS Blog.

Don't forget to stop by on Friday for the release blog hop and release party. Lots of fun stuff!
