Happy Earth Day CHOMPS!

Happy Earth Day!! PMS is celebrating Earth Day with a little sale on specifically themed "earth Friendly" stamps :0). Hop on over to the BLOG and check them out. I thought I'd play along and create something with CHOMPS. He's VERY Earth friendly - it tastes great!!

My first thought was to use no new items for this project - hmm, hard to do. But I came pretty close. The spiral bound journal was a freebie giveaway from a vendor at work. It had their logo on the front. I thought it would work well for the project and I was happy to see that when I opened it up there was a little receycle symbol on every page!! PERFECT! All of the paper used was from scraps of stuff I had already cut and all of the ribbon was taken from my little remnant jar. The flower is REALLY old - I've had it forever and the button is reclaimed from Grandma's stash.

I thought it would be cute to alter the PMS sentiment to better coordinate with Chomps. I just used a fine tip marker to cross out "pick" and wrote "eat" instead! Is that Morbid or heartfelt and sentimental? I thought it was just funny :0

Hope you have a wonderful Earth Day - Think global, act local!

Sketch Girl 16

I'm happy to say that I got to spend last night stamping and NOT doing taxes :0). Today's the 15th so that means time for another Sketch Girl Challenge!!

Our Sponsor is The Character Cafe and the prize is a $10 gift certificate to the store. The DT got to play with a digi stamp from the Character Cafe and I chose this cute little Love Bug.

I flipped the sketch and added two of the images in different sizes where the circles are. I used a rubon on a chipboard tag and "hung" that from the bow as my vertical sentiment. Visit the Sketch Girl DT for inspiration and to see other awesome Character Cafe images

Just ROLL with IT!

Everyone loves a good pun, and this one by Paper Makeup Stamps just cracks me up :0)

This rolling pin and coordinating sentiment are from the April release. Too FUN! I was wondering who I would give this to??? . . . a BUNCO friend, one of our bowling friends, . . .it would be perfect with a plate of baked goods :0). Hmm not sure yet, any suggestions?

This card uses that yummy Grandma's kitchen line of papers from WE R Memory Keepers - perfect for that nostalgic feel and looks even yummier when aged with distress inks.

Have a happy Tuesday -

PMS Review

It's the WEEKEND!! Hope you all are having sunny lazy days today :0) It was a busy week and I'm soo looking forward to a weekend filled with nothing planned :0) PMS had a busy week to with it's April release!!

This is Greg from the latest release. I drew a limb freehand to have something for him to swing from and used an SU! punch for the leaves. I tried to keep it pretty simple, neutral . . .manly.

The PMS blog will be continuing on throughout the week to show you a little review of what was released. It's always fun to see different styles and how others use the stamps differently.

Hop on over to the PMS blog to check out what else is being reviewed today and remember your coupon code from the HOP is good for 15% off your entire order for the week following the release.

Enjoy your weekend, hope it's lazy daisy :0)

Paper Makeup Stamps April Blog Hop

Happy Hump, I mean HOP day!! If you're coming from Lisa K's blog and you've made it this far then you're at the very last stop!! But if you haven't hopped your way through, make sure you go back to the PMS Blog and start there so you're sure not to miss anything :0)

I'm so excited to introduce you to DUNCAN (as in Mr. Hines)!!

Isn't HE the sweetest?! I paired him with a coordinating sentiment that is also being released this month. I know you've seen some great apron stamped cards, but I decided to make an apron shaped card. I'm not sure Duncan could wear an apron however, he seems to be a little low waisted :0) .The template was created by super talented and my fav Anna Wight.

To stay with the vintage-y feel of the apron I used WE R Memory Keepers - Grandma's Kitchen paper -perfect. And the buttons are actually from my DH's grandma's stash!!

I'm sure you've heard it before, but the PMS release party is tonight in the forum, so stop on by for some fun. And don't forget to collect your letters along the hop to spell out your discount code.

THANKS FOR HOPPING WITH US!! HOPE YOU HAVE A SsssssUPER SssssWEET DAY!!

P.S. If you like the apron shaped card you can download a free template of it from Sweet Miss Daisy here!!

PMS April Release Sneak!

Hey There! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Last week was also our Spring Break and boy were we spoiled. Sunny and 80!! That's just about as good as it gets :0) We even broke a record one of the days - it hadn't been that warm since 1945!!

The warm weather, visiting relatives and spring break had me out and about instead of stamping so I was rather excited for this PMS release coming up. It meant I HAD to get some stamp time in ;0). So today I get to show you Miss Moody for Rock and a couple of coordinating sentiments.

I know you've seen her before, but that was in digi. Now she is imortalized in rubber. I always have a hard time trying to figure out how to color her. Maybe it's because there's soo much to color that I don't want to overdo the color combo, or maybe it's because I have 3 boys and I'm not hip on young girls fashion :0) So I tried to keep the card rather plain.

When surfing the internet for guitar inspiration I saw a guitar layout template for a scrapbook page by Tracy Dane. I loved how the layout loosley resembled a guitar so I adapted it to cardsize, do you see it? Now that I look at the finished product I think I should have used 3 smaller width ribbons across the center to imitate guitar strings. Oh well, next time!!

Make sure to head on over to the PMS blog to see all of the other sneaks for today, and leave a comment for the possibility of winning the entire release!! Rock on!!
