I chose this cake by Carries Cakes as inspiration for the PMS weekly challenge
I paired it with this fabulous sketch from the Caardvarks challenge - created by the uber talented Heidi Van Laar :)
And came up with this multi-textured, multi - layered card
I used my Scor-Pal to create the diamond patterned background. I oopsied on getting my sentiment on their straight, but since I had it all put together already I wasn't about to start over!! Handmade right? :0)PMS is gearing up for their monthly release and the sneak peaks are awesome!!

ReplyDeleteoh wow♥WOW♥wow!!! this is just such a BRILLIANT version of both heidi's sketch AND the cool cake challenge! i absolutely love those super-thin mats of both pink & green...and the swirly tree mounted on the swirly embossed panel...and did i mention the pop of red from those felt flowers...??! ♥♥♥

ReplyDeleteHoly moly. This is so fantastic. Love the whole texture thing you have going on. Love the swirl tree with the leaves and the flowers just ever so slightly hanging over the edge, removing any boundaries. And the slight tilt of the sentiment just lends to the feeling of taking off and swirling with creativity. Great card.
