I finally got a chance to make a card and play along with last Friday's Makeup for the Weekend challenge over at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog. The challenge was to create a baby card - nice and simple :0)
This was the perfect opportunity to try out the Sizzix's Baby Onesie die that I borrowed from a friend a long, long, LONG time ago - sorry Sandy :0( Isn't it just adorable?!?!? It's a pretty long die, but with some fanagelling (sp?) I got it to work in my Cuttlebug.
I used the small sailboat image from the Paper Makeup Stamps Sailing By set. The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps too! I paper pieced both sails of the ship and the waves. I added a couple of button wheels for a cute pull-toy look.
The challenge continues until Thursday, then a new one will be posted on Friday, so play along! Just link up your card to the PMS blog for all to see :0)
Hope your first couple of days of summer are going swell. Here, it's swell -tering! Hot, humid, sticky and one of the only times I actually don't mind stamping in the cold damp basement!!
Happy hump day :0)
Randee, this is gorgeous! The color scheme is perfect! It didn't get this hot this soon last summer. It's been in the 90's and horribly humid. I'm out in it with my kids almost daily and I can normally take 3 hours at the pool but have only been able to go 2 hours. It sucks the life right out of me!
ReplyDeleteI love this! So stinkin' cute! Great idea to make the sailboat a little pull toy!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you girls handle the heat with the humidity - yuck! Glad to hear we might be seeing more from you since you're hiding in your stamping cave ;o)
This is soooo CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my word Randee!! Flippin' adorable!! The little button wheels are the perfect finishing touch!
