It's time for another Paper Makeup Stamps release!! And since it's been awhile, we've been itching to show you what's coming this month!! It's extra big and extra awesome!!
Yesterday we got to see some sneaks at some very pretty wordart. Today it's all about "The Luck O' PMS" . I get to show you a sweet wordart stamp with the lucky theme:
I was inspired by a picture frame I saw at craft store to create this card. It had a silhouette of some kids playing in a field with dandelions. I thought "Hey, I can do that!" I stamped Kristin with black ink and then just colored her in with a black copic. How easy is that ?!?! The grass is already part of the image, I just drew in the ground and colored it in to make it look like she was sitting on a little hill. Then I just sponged the ink around her. A whole new way to color in the fairies - and only one marker is needed!
On a funny side note: I was soo excited about this card and showed it to my DH, hoping for praise and admiration. Instead he looks at it and says "Is that a duck fairy?" What!! O.K. -whatever. Note to self: you'll get a better response asking the dog, at least he'll wag his tail :0)
So, YOU can get really lucky too if you take the chance!! Paper Makeup Stamps is giving the ENTIRE RELEASE away to TWO lucky commenters. I love everthing about this card! I adore silhouette images and that's sponging around the top?? It looks like you airbrushed it!
ReplyDeleteI really love this card. A new use for my black copic has definately been found. I also thought you had airbrushed, that sponging is great.
ReplyDeleteOH! I LOVE this!! Love love love how you colored her in to make a silhoutte~GENIUS!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!!! WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!

ReplyDeletevery nicely done love what you did with the fairy.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about trying to color one as a silhouette before - it looks really neat! And I can see the "duck" after reading your husband's comment, haha. Gorgeous idea! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I can't wait to try your technique!
ReplyDeleteI said it once and I'll say it again - this is STUNNING!!! :) fabulous job
ReplyDeleteThis is outstanding!!! woweee!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! I love the silhouette effect - simply striking with that teal! Gorgeous card...and I don't think it looks anything like a duck!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this Randee! That silhouette is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteNever take crafty advice or criticism from your DH BTW...they are basically clueless. lol!
(-: Heidi
Wow. This is awesome. I would have never thought to turn an outline image into a silhouette!!! So going to have to do that.
ReplyDeleteA fantabulous card! You were right...that IS a great technique...too bad I don't have a black copic...hmmm, wonder if a Black BIC marker would work...
ReplyDeleteLOLOL, a 'duck fairy!' Leave it to a man to see a duck where there is no duck! Their brains just don't work like ours, lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is the exact reason I never ask my DH anything about crafting or stamping anymore. Not only would he see a duck here, he'd see some unheard of extinct prehistoric duck and then proceed to tell me in what 'age' it lived and what made it go extinct.
The card is absolutely gorgeous ... and I love the color combination ... AND the duck fairy, lol, I had too! Genius how you just colored in the image to create the silhouette effect! Duh, why didn't I think of that?!?
A DUCK FAIRY???? Hahahahahaahaaa! I have one of those husbands, too, and I show all my stuff to my dog, Lizzie! She always smiles at my creations!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE this card! This is so clever! I cannot believe no one has ever thought to do this before! Amazing! Love the card!
